The American Association of Tissue Banking (AATB) recently announced Jeffrey Orlowski, LifeShare President and CEO, as the recipient of the The Jeanne C. Mowe Distinguished Service Award. This award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution in tissue banking or transplantation, whether in research, education, or laboratory improvement, or who has served the Association or the field of tissue banking. This individual has demonstrated leadership qualities and a consistent willingness to lend his/her expertise to the Association and his/her peers.
Jeff has served on numerous committees, including the AATB Board of Governors, promoted AATB membership and accreditation, and has contributed countless hours ensuring the safety and quality of recovered tissue for transplantation. He also has more than 30 years of involvement in the transplant community.
This year’s award recipients were awarded and honored at the 2020 AATB Virtual Annual Meeting.
