Participate in our Aftercare Program

LifeShare realizes transplantation would not be possible without the generosity of donor families.  A family’s choice to donate or to support the decision of donation during their time of personal loss is truly a selfless act. We greatly appreciate your generosity and are here to support your family.

In the year following the donation, LifeShare provides a variety of support services including: the outcome of your loved one’s donation, grief materials, surveys for feedback and participation in a celebration honoring your loved one.

Ready to write to your loved one's transplant recipient?

Hand holding a pen, writing a letter.

You may be curious to learn more about the person who received your donor hero’s precious gifts. The decision to write a letter to the family of the recipient is a personal one, and you should not feel any pressure to write or respond to any messages.

However, connecting with the transplant recipient may bring you comfort knowing your loved one’s legacy is continuing through another who received a second chance at life. Please know that all correspondence is anonymous, and identities are kept confidential.

There is no time limit for sending a letter, and you may write at any time.
