At just seven years old, Aubree Lyla Carlton, of Grove, Okla. left behind the kind of legacy most people spend a lifetime hoping to make.
Aubree brought joy everywhere she went. She loved playing in the water, spending time with her beloved cat Charlie and her new puppy, Eugene. She was known for making the funniest faces, saying the most unexpected things and turning ordinary moments into memories her family will treasure forever.
“She was so caring,” said Alisha Carlton, Aubree’s mother, “the kind that would take your face in her hands, look you right in the eyes and say, ‘Are you okay?'”

If someone handed her a piece of candy, she always made sure to get one for her big sister, Abby. At bedtime, she would lovingly reassure her mom, saying:
“Wake me up if you have bad dreams, and I will sleep with you so they don’t come back.”
She adored playful moments with her dad, laughing as they jokingly slapped each other’s arms and legs while she giggled. Her family remembers her boundless energy and her warm heart.
